SPAIN – Police in Spain have arrested a man accused of using YouTube to show how to make weapons that could pass undetected through airport scanners, according to a report by British newspaper The Daily Mail. Detectives say a large part of the material he put out was in Arabic. Several banned weapons, explosives precursors, and even a home-made grenade was seized during a raid at his home in Marmolejo in the province of Jaen, southern Spain.
A police spokesman said: ‘In the property searches that have taken place, officers have confiscated several banned weapons, explosives precursors and documents which including one with detailed information about the security measures on the border separating Spain from Morocco.’
The man, who was not named officially by police but has now been remanded in jail.
